We offer emergency services to treat eye problems such as infections and injuries so you can always get the care you need.
​We are here for you and can often accommodate same-day emergency appointments.

Please call our offices immediately if you are experiencing any of the following:

• ​Redness
• Itching
• Inflammation
• ​Pain
  
• Discharge or Drainage​

• Flashes
• Floaters
• Sudden loss/changes in vision
• Sudden/strong headaches or eye-aches
• You know/suspect a foreign object has gotten into your eyes

​You know yourself best, if anything happens that worries you please do not hesitate to contact us. Dr. Tolchin has been specially trained to diagnose and treat a wide variety of eye-related medical issues.

​In an emergency situation it is always best to check and find out you didn't need to than hesitate to check and find out that you should have.

In more serious cases our office may recommend that you see a specialist or go directly to a hospital. If we are closed please go to your nearest Mass Eye and Ear location to see specifically an eye care provider. 

*Please be aware that emergency services are regarded as medical and therefore will be processed using your medical insurance -not your vision benefit. Some plans require referrals or prior authorizations from your Primary Care Physician please make sure you obtain these before your visit. We will do our best to remind you of this when you call to insure that your visit runs as smoothly as possible.
